Upscale hotel, beautifully maintained rooms, the staff was helpful. The location offered was easy right by NE for a sports tournament, a softball tournament, and restaurant & bar. Also, it was 10 minutes drive to Norfolk Arts Center. I was there for 3 nights and ate at attached restaurant which had amazing food as well. The food was amazing with good choice of options.

My room was never cleaned. No clean towels, etc. was ever provided. No curtains, only blinds, on the window and this allowed light from the street and outside door light to shine in at night.

The price was the best for the value in Norfolk, the staff was knowledgeable and professional. They gave me a fly swatter and sprayed our room even though he didn't think there were a lot of flies. I think they are used to it in NE.
Too many flies in the room. 20 is too many. Old broken and dirty furniture. Loud music from the patio bar outside when no one was there ( continued until 9 or after). Free breakfast was terrible. Eggs were cold and rubber. Ran out of coffee at 7am. Sausage was cold. Cod water handle in shower leaked badly. No exhaust fan in bathroom.

I enjoyed my stay, particularly because I was just a short stroll from the Norfolk Arts Center and Ta-Ha-Zouka Park. Although the hotel needs some upgrades, its central location allowed me to experience the heart of the city without much hassle.

The people at the front desk were very polite and helpfull. The breakfast was very good and breakfast staff very friendly. The cost was very reasonable.

Location and breakfast were highlights, but the room's cleanliness left much to be desired. There were dust bunnies and cobwebs in the corners, and the shower caulking was cracked and moldy. While the fridge and microwave worked well, the overall maintenance of the hotel is lacking.

Hotel as a whole is upscale, I loved it.
It has excellent restaurant and great location close to everything. The rooms are new-fashioned with exceptionally comfortable beds and smoke detectors.
